Brittany Nicole Harsell is a senior at Knox County R-1 High School and is the daughter of Tammy and Tommy Harsell.

Harsell is involved in FFA and Yearbook. Three words she would describe herself as are funny, outgoing and hardworking. Her favorite teacher is Mrs. Wriedt. “She pushes me to my full potential even when I think I can’t do something,” says Harsell. “She puts full confidence in me.”

Harsell also shared that she is most proud of starting her own business, Brittany’s Aussies. “The business got started by being my SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) when I first joined FFA,” said Harsell. Over the last two years, she has seen great progress in her business, selling approximately 160 puppies.

Harsell's favorite school memory was when she attended the National FFA Convention her sophomore year of high school. “We walked out of the National Degree Ceremony to go eat breakfast and when we tried to sneak back in they caught us, so we had to convince them to let us back in,” she said.

Many have had an influence on Harsell over the years, however she says her biggest influence in her life has been her mother. “She is always there to talk to whenever I am stressed or just having a bad day, " she said.

Harsell's future plans are to attend MACC for two years and receive her associate’s degree, then transfer to Northwest Missouri State University to further her education and get her bachelor’s degree in Education.
