BY JANSON MILLER, ENN REPORTER

Elijah Robert Reel is a member of the 2026 senior class. He is the son of Mathew and Alexandra Reel of Edina. He is involved in National Honor Scholar, Future Business Leaders of America, Band, Scholar Bowl and Bus Cafe. He is also a basketball manager and serves as the class treasurer.

School has had a big impact on Elijah, especially in preparing him for a future in math and helping him build social skills. In his free time, he enjoys playing pickleball with friends and playing video games to manage stress. His favorite teacher is math teacher, Ms. Amy McNabb because she helped him improve his math skills and prepare for what’s next. One of Elijah's favorite memories is winning an essay competition his junior year, which gave him the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C., for the REC Youth Tour. He describes himself as determined, intelligent and honest. Elijah says that if he could be played by any actor, he would choose Andrew Garfield.

His future plans are to attend Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan., to get a degree in mathematics and become an actuary. In the future, he hopes to buy a house and start a family.
