Senior Spotlights highlight the Class of 2021 seniors. Kinsley Ann Johnson is the daughter of Glenn and Ashley Johnson. She is involved in softball, basketball, FFA, FBLA,  National Honor Society, and Spanish Club. She also serves as the FFA Secretary, FBLA Professional Development Chair, and President of the Spanish Club.

Johnson said, “I would have to say that I do not have a favorite teacher. They are all super helpful and encouraging in my years of high school.” Her favorite school memory was when she was a sophomore and the team went to state in softball. They made school history and placed 3rd in the state. When asked what three words would describe her, she replied, “Three words to describe me would be passionate, because when I find something I love, I work hard and stick to it. Encouraging, because I enjoy helping others and making them smile. Selfless, because I have a big heart and put others first.”

The most influential people in her life have been her parents, grandparents, coaches, and friends. She is most proud of her show pigs because she has been raising them since she was 8.

Her future plans include attending Indian Hills Community College for Radiological Technology followed by another two years elsewhere for a bachelor’s degree. In 10 years, she sees herself working as a Radiation Therapist and starting a family close to home.
