Senior Spotlight

By: Rylan Roberts

Cheyenne Elise Snyder is a member of the 2022 Senior Class. She is the daughter of Jason and Amanda Snyder. Cheyenne is involved in FFA, Spanish Club, FBLA, NHS, and Flags.

When asked about her favorite high school memory she replied, “My favorite memory is the Annual FFA Petting Zoo because I enjoy sharing my animals with younger kids”. Cheyenne couldn't choose a favorite teacher because she has two that have made a difference in her high school career. One of her favorite teachers is her Spanish teacher, Mr. Mendez. “He is a great teacher and always tries to encourage his students to learn about Mexico, other countries, and their cultures.” She has also enjoyed class with ag teacher, Mrs. Dobrinske because "she is very chill and enjoys teaching." Cheyenne also said that Mrs. Dobrinske makes learning very different from what other teachers do.

Mrs. Dobrinske has also been one of Cheyenne's most influential people in her life. As her ag adviser, she has pushed Cheyenne to do an SAE project and fill out all the forms included with it. Her parents have also played an influential role in her life. Her parents have pushed her to be the best she can be and have always taught her that with hard work anything can be achieved.

Cheyenne has an array of bucket list ideas including visiting several foreign countries (Mexico, Italy, and Africa), petting an elephant, doing a backflip, and swimming with dolphins or sharks. She describes herself as weird, honest, and passionate.

Cheyenne plans to attend Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City, Missouri to study Veterinary Technology. In 10 years, Cheyenne sees herself working in a veterinary clinic.
