Senior Spotlight

By: Savanna Schrage

Lexi MiKayla Talbot is a member of the 2022 class, and she is the daughter of Jill and Zach Talbot. She participates in FFA.

Lexi's favorite school memory is at the FFA Back to School BBQ the summer before her senior year. At the BBQ, there was food, swimming, and volleyball; however, the best part was when Bryston Miller picked Lexi up to throw her into the pond. Unfortunately, Lexi landed on her ankle and rolled it after being thrown. Lexi couldn't pick a favorite teacher. She said ag teacher, Mrs. Dobrinske, and business teacher, Mrs. Wriedt, have played an essential role in her high school days. She says, "Mrs. Dobrinske is a teacher I love to mess with and annoy throughout the school day. Mrs. Wriedt is a teacher I can talk to about anything and come to for advice. She is always there for me."

Outside of school, Lexi is most proud of her horse training skills. She has worked for many years to improve her training and is very proud of its improvement. Lexi says many people have played an influential role in her life. Yet, the most significant influence throughout her life has been, "My momma because she has always supported me through my training and starting my business, even when I was being strong-headed." Lexi describes herself as "amazing, sexy, and perfect." Her favorite food is fried chicken.

After high school, Lexi plans to attend Southwest Texas Junior College in Uvalde, Tex.  for barrel racing and break-way. Then, in ten years, Lexi sees herself traveling the world and training horses.
