2019 Homecoming Candidates and Court By Jaiden Linebaugh Knox County Homecoming Week, “Throwin’ It Back” is running from Sept. 23 to 27. During halftime of the Homecoming game on Friday, Sept. 27, the Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned. The first group of senior candidates is Brittany Harsell and Keagan Hamlin. Brittany Harsell is the daughter of Tommy and Tammy Harsell. She is involved in FFA and Yearbook. Keagan Hamlin is the son of Jeff Hamlin and Laine Lay. He is involved in football, track, and Spanish Club. The second set of senior candidates is Jaiden Linebaugh and Robert Mauck. Jaiden Linebaugh is the daughter of Brian and Jonnie Primm. She is involved as the Senior Class Vice President, NHS President, Football Manager, Eagle Nation News Editor and is involved in basketball, dance, track, FFA and Spanish Club. Robert Mauck is the son of Robby and Sherri Mauck. He is involved in football, basketball, track, and Spanish Club. Another group of senior candidates includes Arysta Snyder and Noah Hall. Arysta Snyder is the daughter of Jason and Amanda Snyder. She is the FBLA President, Vice President of NHS, Senior Class Treasurer, Band Drum Majorette and is involved in softball, Drama Club, Spanish Club, and Art Club. Noah Hall is the son of Russell Hall and Angela Strange. He is the Senior Class President and is involved in football, track, Spanish Club and Drama Club. The At-Large senior candidates are Jazzlynn Holman and Trent Klocke. Jazzlynn Holman is the daughter of Joseph and Krista Holman. She is involved in Spanish Club, Band, NHS, basketball cheer and is the football cheer captain. Trent Klocke is the son Jeff and Tara Klocke. He is involved in baseball, basketball, FFA and Spanish Club. The junior court attendants are Megan Miller and Landon Hubble. Megan is the daughter of Kelly and Rachel Miller. She is involved in FFA. Landon Hubble is the son of Rick and Amy Hubble. He is involved in FFA, Trapshooting, and baseball. The sophomore court attendants are Hannah Dye and Patrick Ogden. Hannah Dye is the daughter of Tom and Tammy Dye. She is involved in cheer, flags, choir and dance. Patrick Ogden is the son of Elizabeth Ogden. He is involved in football, track, baseball, and FFA. The freshmen court attendants are Hannah Miller and Austin Jansen. Hannah Miller is the daughter of Craig Miller and the late Bonnie Miller. She is involved in cheer and dance. Austin Jansen is the son of Scott and Kim Jansen. He is involved in basketball, Trapshooting, and FFA. This year, the Student Council has decided to select one female and one male faculty/staff member to be attendants on the Homecoming Court as well, which were voted upon by the students. The Faculty/Staff attendants are Laura Greenley and Luis Mendez. Laura Greenley is a high school Language Arts teacher and has been teaching in the district for 11 years. Luis Mendez is the high school Foreign Language teacher and has been teaching in the district for 6 years.
