Knox County R-1 is joining other Northeast Missouri school districts in sharing an important message about state funding for public education.
If Missouri does not fully fund its school foundation formula, Knox County R-1 is estimated to lose $214,164 in state funding for FY 2028. These dollars help support the educational programs, services, and opportunities we provide for our students.
The attached letter outlines the estimated funding impact on school districts across our region and explains why this issue matters to our schools and communities.

We celebrated over 50 of our 9th–12th grade students who earned midterm Eagle Excellence recognition with a popcorn bar to reward their hard work!
These students finished midterm with no Fs, no discipline referrals, and at least 95% attendance!

This week Mrs. Delaney hosted Apply & Eat Pie to give seniors dedicated time to work on applications while enjoying some delicious pie!
Students had the opportunity to work on applications, receive feedback, and encourage one another throughout the process!

The JH games against Brashear originally scheduled for 11/19 will now be played on 11/2. We will plan to play 2 girls B quarters and 2 boys B quarters followed by both girls and boys A games. This will be a 5:00 pm start.

Cross Country competed at the Annual Frank Lemons Invitational in Hannibal this morning. Kaden Glass placed 6th, Natalie Greenley placed 6th and Jonah Wolf placed 10th in each of their races.

FCCLA hosted the 6th annual Pancakes with Parents on Thursday, October 15. We would like to thank everyone who attended and donated to Talon Take Out, the MS/HS backpack program. Because of your generosity we were able to raise $722 for Talon Take Out!
