Also, please make every effort to keep your children in the stands sitting with you,

The 6th grade Science class is currently learning about growing cultures (a living strand of bacteria) and microorganisms. As part of the learning process, MS Science teacher, Mrs. Sheyenne Cahalan partnered with Preschool teacher, Miss Saydie Potter. Together, they planned a collaboration to help teach the 3-year-old preschoolers to not put toys in their mouths. To help visualize this, 6th grade students swabbed toys around the classroom, then transferred the swabs into petri dishes to watch the growth of bacteria cultures.

This year, we are proud to launch Living Lockers, a new initiative designed to celebrate the achievements and positive contributions of our middle school students.
Through Living Lockers, students will earn badges for participation in school activities and receive recognition for awards and accomplishments throughout the year.
Living Lockers aims to foster a culture of recognition, school pride, and student engagement by highlighting the many ways our students contribute to our school community.

FFA, FCCLA, and Student Council are partnering to offer a food bag program to any student in the Middle or High School who may need a little extra help. The program is called Talon Take Out. Students will sign up with a QR code and will be able to pick up a bag on the second Friday of every month starting in September. Bags will be filled with food supplies to make meals and snacks. The program is designed to be student-led to help other students.
The QR will also have a spot to list any other item that a student may be needing (winter coat, basketball shoes, etc.)
FFA officers were able to visit a few local businesses and let them know about the program. We are looking for additional monetary donations to help fill the bags by sponsoring a month. If you are interested in being a part of this program; please contact Mrs. Ellison, Mrs. Dobrinske, or Mrs. Huchteman.
The QR code will be available at iPad Roll out and around the school after school starts.
